Reminder notices have been emailed or posted out. If you have received a reminder letter or you still owe fees, please attend to this request promptly. If you are unable to clear your debt, please contact the office to discuss your options.
Parents who pay by regular instalments are asked to review their repayment amount to ensure that the repayments will cover the yearly fees.
Our School Counsellor, Faith, will be visiting St Bede's on Wednesdays this year. Please see the below information regarding the service and how to make an appointment.
How to make an appointment.
If your child was seen by the school counsellor in previous years and you would like them to receive support in 2024, we require you to complete a new counselling registration form. The link can be found below. New referrals and requests can be made via the same link.
Parent consent for counselling continues to be required for all primary school students and will be sought and provided via email. Where parents are separated, we require the written consent of both parents. Once the referral has been received, I will contact parents on a Wednesday to further discuss the referral and determine whether school counselling can meet your child’s needs or if an external referral may be more appropriate.
Referrals can be submitted here https://mccg.my.site.com/housing/s/school-referral-form

St Bede's is a Nut Free school
St Bede's is a nut free school - This mean that students should not bring anything containing nuts to school, this includes Nutella, Peanut Butter and any other nut butters as we have several students who are highly allergic to these items.
The sharing of any food, lollies or confectionery is not encouraged.
- Term 2 school returns for students on Wednesday 1 May
- Next term it will be full winter uniform by week 3 of the term
- Please ensure that you have access to the Compass Parent Portal App and that you are using this portal for full day absences and checking for school messages. Be aware that as of next term our newsletter will be sent out through the app.
-
Parents are reminded to ensure that all your child's clothing is labelled very clearly. We have found that using a fabric pen on the collar or underside of your child's hat works well.
It is very hard to return clothing items to family's if there is no name.
- Please keep an eye on our FaceBook page for the latest happenings around the school. St Bede's FaceBook page

Important Compass Information
As we continue the transition to Compass as our primary method of communication, please ensure you have access to the Compass Parent Portal. We suggest downloading the Compass App on your phone and activating notifications so you do not miss any alerts. If you are unable to login to Compass, please contact the Front Office or myself and we will be able to assist you.
From last week, we began distributing the Newsletter via Compass as well as via Schoolzine. From the beginning of Term 2, it will only be distributed via Compass.
We have also started a Compass Corner section in the Newsletter (see below) which will contain weekly tips on using Compass.

If your child has vomitted the night before, please keep them at home, even if you think they are okay. The NSW Health guidelines suggest that students who have vomitted should be kept at home for 48 hours to help prevent the spread of illness through the school.
