Dear Parents and Carers,
This week we celebrate with our beloved Year 1 teacher, Miss Milsom, who married her fiancé Dylan on Tuesday. As a school community, we share in their joy and wish them a lifetime of love and happiness together.
Grandparents Day
Grandparents’ Day is back on the calendar! We have rescheduled this special event to Friday, 14 November, beginning at 1:00pm. We look forward to welcoming our grandparents and special friends for an afternoon of celebration. Further details will be shared early next term.
School Counsellor
We are pleased to confirm that beginning in Week 3 next term, Sharman Hampson will be joining us as our new school counsellor. Sharman has supported St Bede’s in the past and is looking forward to once again being part of our community.
We thank our families for their patience while we have been without a counsellor this term. If you would like to access counselling support for your child, please complete the referral form.
Summer Uniform
As we return for Term 4, it is time for students to transition back into their summer uniforms. In the event of colder weather, students may continue to wear their winter uniform during the first two weeks of term. From Week 3 onwards, all students are expected to be in full summer uniform.
Well, my time as Acting Principal has come to an end and what an enjoyable ride it has been! I want to thank you all for your support along the way. I am already looking forward to picking it up again in 2026, but until then, we warmly welcome Mrs Gorham back from her term of Long Service Leave. We can’t wait to hear all about her adventures!
I hope you all enjoy the change of pace that holidays brings!
Kind regards,
Principal (Acting)
Dear Parents and Carers,
Unexplained absence reminders were sent out in week 8. Please remember to action these reminders as it’s important that all absences are followed up with an explanation. If you haven’t already done so, please provide reasoning for any outstanding student absences at your earliest convenience.
Thank you for helping us keep our records accurate.
Kind regards,
Shaye Cooper
Assistant Principal (Acting)
Dear Parents and Carers,
Thank you for supporting myself and Hayley this term as we took on the role of REC in Marylou's absence.
We hope you have a wonderful holiday break.
Yours in faith,
Religious Education Coordinators (Acting)

2025 Term Dates
- Term 3 – Tuesday 22 July – Thursday 25 September
- Term 4 – Tuesday 14 October – Thursday 18 December
St Bede's is a Nut Free school
St Bede's is a nut free school - This mean that students should not bring anything containing nuts to school, this includes Nutella, Peanut Butter and any other nut butters as we have several students who are highly allergic to these items.
The sharing of any food, lollies or confectionery is not encouraged.
- If your child arrives at school after 8:55 am, a parent or responsible adult MUST sign the student in at the school office.
- Any changes to afternoon departure for your child please notify the office either by phoning or emailing the office email before 2:30pm please. After this tme it becomes increasing difficult to ensure that the message gets to your child.
- If you are coming into the school outside of drop off and pick up times you are required to report to the office and sign in. It is important that we have a record of all visitors to the school.
Australian Interschools Snowsports Championships
Earlier this term, Ben V (Year 4) represented St Bede’s at the Australian Interschools Snowsports Championships, held at Mt Buller in Victoria. This national competition brought together talented student skiers and snowboarders from across the country to compete in a range of disciplines.
Ben competed in both the Snowboard Grand Slalom (GS) and Snowboard Cross events, facing challenging conditions and tough competition. He achieved an impressive 22nd place in the Cross and 23rd in the GS.
Congratulations to Ben on this outstanding achievement and for representing St Bede’s with pride on the national stage!
Footy Tipping
After a nail-biting season of ups, downs and plenty of surprises, we have our 2025 Footy Tipping champion!
Congratulations to Buschi33 (Reto F) for topping the leaderboard with some consistent tipping – you really read the play this year!
Runners-up also deserve a cheer: Buzz (Cole B) took second place, while Green Machine Haraldson and BeckThiso shared a hard-fought third place.
Thanks to everyone who joined the competition – whether you nailed the big calls or had a few shockers (like me!), it’s all part of the fun of Footy Tipping! We’ll be back to do it all again next year!
Boorowa Touch & Netball Carnival
Get ready! A reminder that the Boorowa Touch & Netball Carnival is fast approaching on Friday 24th October (Term 4, Week 2). Students have been training hard in PE and can’t wait to showcase their skills on the day. This carnival is always a highlight of the year, filled with fun, teamwork and plenty of school spirit. There are still a few spots available, so if you’d like to be part of the action, now’s your chance! Please contact me at school if you would like to sign up.

MIKELANGELO – IN THE BELLY OF THE WHALE
Part journey across the wild seas, part voyage into the depths of the human soul
Michael Simic, also known as Mikelangelo, but perhaps best known as Sunny's dad, is touring his new solo show in October. The tour kicks off with two performances at the Braidwood Old Sunday School Hall on Saturday 4 October at 8pm and Sunday 5 October at 3pm as part of the QPRC Arts Trail.
Created with Bungendore-based director Tracy Bourne, this rollicking and revealing tale is told through original songs, stories, comedy and physical theatre, exploring the adventures of being a father, a son, a husband and a touring artist. This show is funny, emotional and full of unexpected twists and turns. All ages are welcome, full price $30, concession $20 and free entry for children under 15. Tickets via Humantix or at the door. Doors open half an hour before the show. See you there!
