Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome back to all our staff, students and families. It was wonderful to witness the enthusiasm of the children as they arrived at school on Tuesday. We hope you all enjoyed spending the time with your children and the family time together during the holidays. NSW CECG have developed updated COVID-safe measures for the commencement of Term 3 to minimise transmission of COVID-19 to assist with keeping our schools open for teaching and learning. This information was provided to all families on Tuesday and we have included some key information in this weeks newsletter. The health and wellbeing of our students and staff remain our priority and these measures are designed to help keep our students learning in the classroom.
Unwell at school
- If a student or staff member displays even mild COVID-19 symptoms, they must take a RAT or get a PCR test and isolate until they receive a negative test result.
- Household contacts will not have to quarantine if they have no COVID-19 symptoms but will need to comply with the following requirements for seven days from the time the first person in their household tests positive for COVID 19:
- Students study from home, where it is practical to do so
- Parents/Carers notify the school of their child being a household contact
- If it is not practical to study from home, students must undertake COVID-19 testing and return a negative result in the 24 hours prior to returning to school and then every 48 hours if ongoing attendance is required.
Parents and Carers on School Site
- Parents and carers must follow COVID smart measures (physical distancing, hygiene practices, staying away if unwell).
- Volunteers are permitted to attend school sites. Volunteers are considered to be anyone who provides a critical service to the school community, including canteen and uniform stores, parent volunteers, and P&F/Council run fundraisers.
- Parents and carers can attend outdoor areas of the school site for drop off and pick up.
- School assemblies can be conducted although parents/carers are not able to attend.
- All parent/carers meetings should be remote – if outside of school hours parents/carers may attend on site, by exception.
Cleaning
We continue to have enhanced cleaning focusing on high-touch and high traffic areas.
The Walkathon will be held next Friday, July 29 at school due to the Covid restrictions advising us not to hold excursions or events during school time. All Walkathon money needs to be returned to school by next Tuesday July 26 to enable the presentation of Walkathon prizes to occur at the assembly in Week 3. Thank you to all our students and families for your amazing support of this great fundraising initiative.
Have a great week.
God Bless and keep safe
Principal
Welcome back to our Term 3 school term. This term our Year 3 children, who are Catholic, will be preparing for the sacraments of Reconciliation/Penance and First Eucharist. They will receive these sacraments during this term. This is a special time in their spiritual lives. Please pray for these children as they prepare. If you are aware of any other children in our community who may like to receive these sacraments please ask them to contact our school.
This week we heard the words of Micah in Monday's readings. The message from Micah is simple, beautiful and achievable. The message is to act justly, love with mercy and walk humbly with our God.
Have a lovely week. May God protect and care for your family.

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to all the families and teachers who attended the afternoon tea on Sunday, 26 June! It was a wonderful event with lots of happy children, yummy food, and drawings on the butchers paper!
A fantastic turn out, we are so pleased at how many people came and brought their lovely energy and smiles!
