Dear Parents and Carers,

Yesterday, we welcomed Helen Bramanathan from the Catholic Education Office. Helen guided our classes through Christian Meditation. Christian Meditation is a practice of contemplative prayer. It focuses on the principles of Still, Silence and Simple. We use our sacred word, ‘Ma-ra-na-tha’, meaning ‘Come Lord, Jesus’ to be present. Christian Meditation is a practice that we will be regularly engaging with at St Bede’s. We thank Helen for visiting St Bede’s to share her knowledge.

We look forward to Easter as we continue on our Lenten journey. We invite families to join us in Week 9 for our Holy Week Liturgies. Each class will be presenting a different event of Holy Week. Please note, this year we will be spreading the liturgies over the week. A timetable is included below. We hope you can join us!

The annual St Bede’s Easter Hat Parade will be running again this year. It will be on Thursday 28th March (Week 9) at 11:30am. We will walk down the main street, starting on the school side and crossing over at the bakery. We love seeing families lining the streets to cheer us on! A friendly reminder that all Easter Hats are to be made at home and sent in on the day. Thank you for your support with this.
