Da Vinci Decathlon
Last Wednesday, students from Year 5/6 showcased their talents at the Da Vinci Decathlon held at Canberra Grammar. Eleanor, Zara, Spencer, Cara, Lana, Sebastian, Charlotte, and Harvey represented our school with pride, competing across ten disciplines: Engineering, Mathematics, Code Breaking, Art and Poetry, Science, English, Ideation, Creative Producers, Cartography, and Legacy. The decathlon's challenges were exceptionally tough, requiring teamwork and creativity. From cracking codes to crafting solutions, our students tackled each task with determination. Whether they were building structures or solving mathematical puzzles, they worked collaboratively and demonstrated resilience. Their enthusiasm certainly embodied the spirit of the Da Vinci Decathlon - Well done!
Security Cameras
With the recent instalment of external security cameras at St Bede’s, we have developed a Statement of Practice which outlines the principles and guidelines governing the use of security cameras on our school premises. It ensures transparency, accountability, and respect for privacy rights while enhancing our ability to monitor and safeguard our school community.
