RE Report
Dear Parents and Carers,
Sacramental Program
This Saturday 17th August, our Year 3 students will be receiving their First Holy Communion. We have 8 children receiving their sacrament – congratulations to Toby N, Beni, Raphy, Ben, Rafe, Willow, Eleanor and Isabella. We invite families to join us at Mass at 5pm this Saturday to support these children. Please keep these children in your prayers as they prepare.
Next week, students in Year 5 & 6 will participate in the Sacramental program for Confirmation. We thank Cathy Ffrench, Ann Tracey and Bob Fletcher for supporting our students in their ongoing faith development. Students will participate in 4 preparation sessions, before receiving their sacrament on Saturday 14th September.
Feast of the Assumption
Today, we celebrate the Feast of the Assumption of Mary. It commemorates the glorification of Mary, chosen by God, to be the mother of Jesus the Christ. St Bede’s School and Parish will gather for a Mass at 12pm in the St Bede’s Church. Thank you to Father Josh for your preparation.
Father’s Day
Our annual Father’s Day celebration will be held on Thursday 29th August. We invite all our fathers, grandfathers, and fatherly figures to join us. The staff will be preparing a yummy breakfast of bacon and egg rolls at 8am in the Courtyard. This will be followed by a prayer liturgy at 9am, which will be led by Kinder and Year 5/6. Fathers day stall will be on Friday 30 August with more information will be sent home in the coming days. We hope to see you there!
Grandparents Day Grandparents Day will be Friday 13 September (Wk 8). The day will commence at 12:30pm with a Liturgy in the Hall. This will be followed by a 1:00pm Lunch with grandchildren (BYO) with old fashioned games to play. This will run into the afternoon until the assembly at 2:45pm.
Yours in faith,

Prayer for the Feast of the Assumption of Mary
Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
