Parents and Carers under the existingCOVIDD rules if you need to enter the school for any reason please phone the office, 48422413 before entering the grounds.

    Dear Parents and Carers

Congratulations to Rosalie Hazell and Grace Jackson. Rosalie is our School Captain for this term and Grace Jackson is our Vice captain. They are embracing their roles with enthusiasm. It is wonderful to see how focused all our students are on their learning. The teachers have particularly noticed the huge leaps the students are making with their learning and over the coming weeks they will be busy assessing them in readiness for reporting and next year. The children had a great time celebrating Melbourne Cup on Tuesday, preparing their snails for the inaugural Snail Cup. We had such a beautiful day to have warm-up races before the finals.

We are very fortunate to have parents who are so willing to assist our staff, providing opportunities to recognise special events and celebrations. Presently, we have our Year 6 parents busily arranging the Year 6 Graduation dinner under the leadership and guidance of Lisa Kaptein and Gerard Galvin. We look forward to providing our Year 6 students with a special dinner in their honour and the opportunity to celebrate their past seven years of Primary schooling. Plans are also in place for our Year 3 and 4 students who will be making their First Communion at St Bede’s Church. To enable this to occur, we are relying on our Year 3 and 4 parents to assist with cleaning the church. Currently the church is not being used due to the roof being repaired. We are extremely grateful for Fr Mick who has organised for the ceremony to occur at the church but we are relying on your help. If you can assist, please contact Lisa Kaptein. Many hands make light work!

Last week, a note was emailed to all families regarding changes with leadership opportunities for Year 6 students. We encourage all our parents to complete the survey on the QR Code on the note as there are some significant changes suggested. We value your input! The survey needs to be completed by next Wednesday November 10.

As you are aware, the Father's Day raffle was unable to be drawn due to remote learning. The raffle is now a wellbeing raffle, with a range of prizes to be won for a lucky family. Please return all raffle ticket butts and money to the class room teachers via your children, by Thursday, November 11. The raffle will be drawn at school on November 12. If you require additional raffle books, please contact the front office. Proceeds are going towards the purchase of new IT equipment for the students.

Information is being sent home with the newsletter this week updating you with a slight change to school fees for next year. If you have any concerns regarding this, please contact the front office.

Thank you so much to all our parents who have endeavoured to follow all the Level 3+ restrictions. Please ensure you contact the office if you need to come into the school, sign in on the QR code and wear a mask. It isn’t easy but we navigate this road together. The children have quickly adjusted to remaining within their Cohorts for playtime and pick-up and drop-off.

Please keep our Braidwood community in your prayers and continue to be thankful for the small everyday blessings around us.

    God Bless
