RE News and Prayer
We acknowledged, last week, St. Patrick’s Day on 17th March and St. Joseph’s Day on 19th March. Thank you to everyone who donated to the NSW flood appeal through the children’s mufti day on Friday.
In Week 10 we will gather as a whole school to participate in our Holy Week liturgy. We are encouraging the children to be dressed up in some piece of clothing from Jesus’ time. This can be something small like a tea towel on the head or a suitable dressing gown and needs to go over the children’s uniform. We will be dramatising the Easter story as we move from Palm Sunday to the Crucifixion of Jesus. We will do this through acting, singing and movement. I will have more details next week but I just wanted to give you some notice about the clothing.
Year 4 and I had the privilege of going to the Parish Mass in our church, this week. Next Tuesday Year 5 and 6 will attend the Parish Mass on Tuesday. It is often when we no longer have something that we value it the most and this is particularly the case with going to the church for Mass.
May God’ peace be in our community and the wider global community.
Helen Mulholland
