Canberra Goulburn Touch Trials

Last week, Pippa and Angus (Year 5) travelled to Canberra to trial for the 2023 Canberra Goulburn Archdiocese Touch Football teams. Congratulations to Pippa who was selected in the girls’ team to compete at the MacKillop trials in February. Well done to both students!

Ultimate Frisbee

Over the last 4 weeks, K-6 students have been participating in Ultimate Frisbee clinics delivered by Matt from Gecko Sports through the Sporting Schools program. Matt taught the students forehand and backhand throwing, catching and evasion skills before putting them to the test in games of Ultimate Frisbee. Did you know that Ultimate Frisbee is one of the only sports which does not have a referee/umpire? It is based on gamesmanship, sportsmanship and honesty and the students were able to learn a lot. We all had a fantastic time and are looking forward to doing some more of this next year in PE and Sport!
